IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

 We would like to inform you that the 16th Annual Conference of Euro-Asian Bridge Society will be POSTPONED until the spring of 2021 due to current and ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Taking into consideration current epidemiological situation and the strict Governments’ policies implemented worldwide for an unknown period of time, we have decided to postpone the Conference for a few months. 

The exact dates of the postponed Conference will be decided later on, when the COVID-19 pandemic in declared over by the WHO, and in consultation with all the invited participants, so we could have all of you hosted here in Belgrade.

We are delighted to invite you to be a part of the 16th Annual Conference of Euro-Asian Bridge Society which will take place on 09 - 12 September 2020. It is an honour and privilege for us to have the opportunity to host this year’s Conference in the Capital city of Serbia, Belgrade.
Belgrade is the largest city in Serbia. It is situated on the joint of two big European rivers, Sava and Danube. It is a city of very tumultuous history, believed to be one of the oldest cities in Europe. The lands of Belgrade have been continuously inhabited for at least 7,000 years. Today, its metropolitan area is home to about 2.5 million people. Your visit to Belgrade will provide you with an insight into the one of the oldest civilizations in this part of the world.  Please do not hesitate to visit some of the museums and art galleries to discover the rich and diverse heritage of Serbian and Balkan culture and civilization.

 

Euro-Asian Bridge society was established in 2004 in the city of Athens by our predecessors. The Conferences that have been organized by the Society are meetings during which surgeons, scientists and academicians from all around the world are gathered in order to achieve a common goal: Connect, cooperate and stay in touch with the latest achievements in the field of Cardio-Thoracic and Vascular Surgery.

In order to emphasise the role EAB Society Meeting has had in spreading a peaceful message, connecting people and facilitating knowledge dissemination, this years’ meeting will be conjoint with Synergy – annual conference on interventional cardiology. By doing this, we would like to offer you even more diverse and knowledgeable speaker board, roundtable discussions, endless networking and learning opportunities through educational sessions with cardiologists, anaesthetists, vascular surgeons, interventional radiologists, perfusionists, staff nurses and scholars.

 

Following many successful meetings that have been organized in the last 15 years by the previous organizers, it will be a challenge for us to reach the same level of sophistication and exceed the expectations of our academic community in maintaining the highest scientific standard possible.

 

We would like to once again encourage you to visit Serbia, where the great scientific content of the Conference will be combined with the opportunity to see and taste the assorted and beautiful flavours of our country. You will be given the unique opportunity to feel the Serbian hospitality, taste native wines, try the famous type of meat “cevapcici” and the rest of refined traditional cuisine. Prior and after the event, you will be given the possibility to explore the city and its surroundings and visit some of its historical and natural heritage and beauty.
