The 17th Annual Meeting of the Euro-Asian Bridge Society of Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgeons  organized by Pr Grigore Tinica was held between 17-20 October 2024, in the city of Iași, Romania.

 

This year the meeting hosted 674 participants from 38 countries (577 attendees and 97 representatives from various companies) , 2 spaces for hands-on workshops , and 1 Industry Lab. Over the course of these four days, we held a total of 58 sessions, including 41 scientific sessions, 2 e-poster sessions for physicians, 2 oral communication sessions for nurses, 6 oral presentation sessions, 4 satellite symposia from our partner firms and 3 workshops—one of which took place daily.

 

In total, we welcomed 207 speakers from 38 countries, with 105 from Romania and 102 from abroad, delivering 327 scientific presentations. These included 226 conferences, 50 oral communications from physicians, 6 from nurses, and 24 from students, as well as 21 e-posters. Our congress was further enhanced by the presence of 18 partner firms and 19 exhibitors.

 

Beyond the scientific achievements, the social events provided us with memorable opportunities to connect, share ideas in a more relaxed setting, and strengthen professional relationships. The cultural richness of Iași, combined with the camaraderie we experienced, added a personal dimension to the event that we will all cherish.
